Besides, "efluvia" usually referes to the smell of decomposing bodies AND/OR the smell of sickness/disease.
I don't think there are any dead or dying people in my bedroom.

And so what if you can't see the carpet in my bedroom? Maybe I like it that way! I'll clean it up and do my laundry... eventually.
