Braces... AGAIN.
So I just got braces for my second time... so far they haven't been bothering me TOO much, but they've only been there for a couple hours so the pain hasn't had time to kick in. Anyhoo, I figured I should give you guys some notice since I'll probably be ranting about my stupid teeth later on and you'll need the heads up.

Re: Braces... AGAIN.
I have a really stupid dentist. Anyhoo two weeks have gone by and they don't hurt anymore, just a dull ache really and it becomes easy to ignore. I'm still mad at the fact that I'm getting them twice though.

Re: Braces... AGAIN.
Why??
Did your teeth go back into their original position or something?

Re: Braces... AGAIN.
I'll break it down into steps:
I got an expander
I got braces
I got the expander off and a retainer
A kid who hated me smashed my retainer while I was eating lunch
My dentists THOUGHT that my teeth would be fine without a replacement retainer
My dentists take off my braces
My dentists were wrong and when my top teeth moved back cause of the expander, the bottom ones moved around too
The dentists want to put on the expander and braces again
I say no way
The dentists offer to pull out 4 of my teeth instead of giving me an expander
I agree
They then spring on me the fact that I still need braces again
They put the second set of braces on
And that is the story of my two sets of braces.

Re: Braces... AGAIN.
Yeah. The lady really sucked at giving the needle. She dabs on something to numb it before the needle so my mouth goes numb, then she finds the one place where I still have feeling and jabs her needle in. Then she comes back and does 2 more jabs, so that half my face is numb by the time she's done! Second time, she stabs me once, and then immediately says "Sorry, I did that a little wrong, I'll have to give you another shot." So I ended up getting 3 shots, same as last time, only she actually admitted it that time! And for the first set, my mouth bled a LOT, and my mom was freaking out on the way home cause it was coming through all the gauze and stuff I was okay eventually.

You should write a book about braces.

Re: Braces... AGAIN.
Actually... that would be kinda fun How about this?:
I hate braces. Not because they hurt or because they're uncomfortable, or because of the way my teeth look with them- all of which ware valid reasons- but because of what they did to me. I didn’t actually realize it until nearly two years after I’d had them taken off but it was there, as plain as the nose of my face. I was looking through some old school yearbooks- you know the ones, schools hand them out with brightly coloured covers and different layouts with each student’s picture inside. They’re the same ones that everyone brings back five years later so they can all laugh at how silly each person looked as an awkward ten year old. Anyways, I noticed a different in the shape of my face in the two most recent years. It took me a minute to realize that it was all the dental work I’d gone through, mainly braces, that had actually changed the shape of my face. I was different. It wasn’t a bad different, but then it wasn’t a good different either. I was always the plain kid who sat in the background. There was nothing special or out of the ordinary about me, and the change to my face hadn’t made me any more or less ugly. It was just different. And that was when I began to really hate the braces. I felt like I had lost something, the face and the person I would have been were gone. It wasn’t natural and there was always a part of me that mourned that mystery face that had disappeared somewhere in my past.
That was sorta fun. I just nailed it down so it isn't really that good or anything. It was more like an excersize They're fun to do every now and then. Just give yourself a random topic and punch out 150 words

What?! Was that directed to me or her? Cause I don't remember being "smashed".
